Upon arriving at the place you are greeted by a very accomodating hostess. At first I thought she came a bit bossy but after some time I realized that she just made sure you were comfortable and your orders were were taken and serve in a blink of your eyes. Yes, serving time was amazingly quick.

Small simple restaurant run by the owners themselves. I haven't had this kind of Malaysian/Indonesian/Thai/Viet food in the Philippines before, not even close. Let the owner make the recommendations, she'll know how to please!

One of the best dining experiences we've had not just in the Philippines, but ever! The owner knows her dishes like the back of her hand, and will take you through an authentic Malaysian dining experience suited to your dietary preferences. Both of us are vegan, so she swapped a few ingredients from the dishes she recommended we order to create an all plant-based meal for us (she even knew to omit the oyster sauce). The food, which is made by her husband, was absolutely incredible. We could really feel the passion behind what they do. Great service and cozy place with delicious food.

Went to lunch with my Dad and his friend. All of our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Every piece of meat in each of the dishes we ordered was TENDER and juicy. The noodles didn't turn into mush after the first chew. Overall a great experience! Would definitely be coming again!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Been planning to visit this store for a couple of years now but something always came up. They were closed—closed monday and Tuesday (Call ahead as owners may be traveling) or just a lack of desire to suffer through mactan traffic. Should have taken the trip earlier as the food is really good.The owners were really nice and would even recommend meal combinations for you. Watch out for the daily and other specials too like chicken rice on Wednesdays or a duck day sometime in April. The meal was a treat and I still remember the softness of the beef rending and bakuteh. Not a lot of dessert options available but still came out completely satisfied.

Good food, a little pricey for its ambiance and needs to wait for the customers to pick and choose their own food at their leisure. Needs more parking space. Bottom line, good food.

What I loved about this place is the engagement of the owners and the clear passion for their food. We ordered the fried rice, flat rice noodles and the spicy Malaysian beef, and everything was absolutely delicious! The dishes on the menu are South East Asian and draw inspiration from the different countries' cuisines. Had a chat with the owners who are a couple, the husband is thw chef and the wife takes care of the customers, and they are absolutely lovely people who really care about their food and customers and it shows. I would definitely recommend anyone who stays in Cebu City to drop by here for a delicious dinner!

Specialty in east malaysia menus. The chef is from Sarawak and very friendly owner. For muslims they claim seperate cooking for pork menu which 2 menus only, if CONFIDENT can visit the restaurant. Overall the food is nice n most important one no MSG added, healthy cooking. Those already used with MSG cooking dishes may found the taste doesn't have kick but u should try first. Recommended.

The owner is very accommodating. From the time we arrived until the moment we departed from the restaurant she entertained us. The food was exceptional and authentic Malaysian cooking. She made sure we had our orders right and she kept asking us if we are doing fine and if there are other things we need. That's really great customer service! We will definitely visit Oriental Spice Gourmet the next time we visit Mactan. 2 thumbs up!

Great oriental home cooking. Place is run by a couple from England but both of Asian descent. They are closed Mondays to Wednesdays. It is best to call ahead for reservations just in case the couple is away. Food is really good!

One among the best restaurants that I have been to. They serve faster than fast, with an amazingly good foods. Service is high five. You just couldn't believe that the owner knows how much you can eat. One thing to note: "no MSG" yet it taste best. You can watch the chef cook in his very clean kitchen with grace. This may just be the owner's past time, but they do it with passion. Freshly cooked served faster than quick. Looking forward to being in this place so often. The owners were the friendliest people ever! They made sure every dish was to our liking and took time to sit and talk with our family of 10. The food was absolutely delicious and the prices were more than reasonable. Perfect single serving sizes. I would more than recommend this to anyone visiting Lapu-Lapu!!

The owner was very friendly and recommends orders for new comers to Asian cuisine. The cook also is very professional to not use msg. The orders can be adjusted to preferences (spice level, with or without meat) and if the adjustments cannot be met with the selected menu, the lady will recommend another dish that will suit your wants. If I had to eat in just one restaurant when visiting Philippines this would definately be the place!! Okay I admit - I was starving when I got there so I was easy to please :DThey have such great choices for vegetarians and vegans also (and they also understand the difference). One of the best Asian, hidden-gems restaurant in Cebu. It's far from the city and you have to endure the traffic to get here. Customer service is superb, auntie helps you pick out food if you're overwhelmed by the choices in the menu. She gives out suggestions on which dishes should be enough to satisfy your hunger. Take note: no msg is added to the dishes. Waiting time is usually short here, they serve your food hot and fresh. Will definitely come back here again and again for the great food.👌😋

Nice ambience with superb food! Spices are spot on. The owner will help you choose which dishes to pick and even tells you to stop ordering becaus eits enough already haha but we didnt listen and ordered more but we still finished what we ordered and she said "you must really be hungry" haha

This place is able to maintain the quality of their food. Asian recipes that smells enticingly as it approaches your table. Food is superb with just the right spicyness without loosing the flavor.I highly recommend this place for good food and service.

Very happy we found this gem and it made the walk from our inn well worth it! Our favorite dish was Aachari chicken which was kindly made vegetarian on our behalf by the chef. We also had some delicious roti to go with it (it almost felt like being back in India!). Mary Ann is lovely and we felt looked after through out the whole meal. Last but not least, the place itself is spotless and lovely decorated.

Great food

After passing this restaurant so often and always no parking space available in the evening, we decided to come for lunch on Sunday. There were just few cars there so we can park. The food is in our opinion authentic as we know during our journey to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Furthermore, I lived over 4 years in Singapore as 'expat' so I guess, I know food from this regions too. We were food lovers, so we went few times a week visiting one restaurant after the other, from hawkers centers to restaurants in hotels. It tasted good so far what we ordered: Mee Goreng, Prawn in coconut sauce, Vietnamese spring rolls. It cost about 1k for two of us. The wife of the owner is a nice person who personally talked to us about what food they are serving and what would be our preference. The husband is a malaysian chef. The restaurant itself is clean and cozy.

If you are craving for southeast Asian food, you don't have to travel outside the country to taste it because this place has it! Affordable food and mesmerising taste! The owner is great. 101 costumer device. I will eat again here of course and it's recommended to everyone

Don’t get me wrong. This certainly saves the day if you‘re craving Malay-style red curry and paratha. Beef was fork-tender and spicy sauce was legit. But I could have easily made the sauce with a store-bought curry paste mix. The paratha was way too expensive for Php50 each. It was good, but just tasted like one of those frozen ones you could buy at the grocery and heat in a pan.
